Who Am I?

Patrice Rhymer

I am a seasoned Instructional Designer & eLearning Consultant with over 20 years of experience working for and consulting with fortune 500 organizations, including Coca-Cola, American Express, ADP, State Farm, Southern Company, AT&T, etc. Recognized for demonstrating a natural aptitude for leading the design and development of online learning solutions, as well as for overseeing the development of programs and for providing leadership to and collaborating with various personnel and teams. 

Professional focal points include relationship management, team leadership and collaboration, stakeholder management, solutions development, change management, learning experience management, e-learning, and virtual learning, leadership development, program development, and project management. Delivering superior performance in the latter areas of expertise requires effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving to support efficiency and maximum success.

How I got Started

Journey

I started working in Learning and Development in 1998 as a Sales Development Manager. I was responsible for developing sales agents to master core hard and soft sales skills to help them open more doors, better understand customer needs and position more value. I’ve always had a knack for taking learning content and breaking it down into steps that helps learners digest the concept. With that said, my team and I won the Excellence in Practice Award Citation from the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) in 2006 for undertaking an initiative to improve performance and the customer experience by revitalizing the customer contact process, leadership, and training.

I’ve worked in various L&D roles in both private and government sectors. In my most recent role of eight years was with The Coca-Cola Company, I developed and lead training initiatives and project plans from inception to results for over 80,000 employees. I collaborate with internal content experts and our Training & Development team to develop instructor-led training, performance drill exercises, and eLearning. I also design online training materials and trainer guides aligned to the Center of Excellence principles.

I love being creative and introducing innovative techniques to enhance learning. A recent win is when I collaborated closely with McCann Systems in the implementation of a revolutionary digital classroom that combined virtual attendees and in-person attendees, providing the instructor and employees with real-time, real-perspective views globally. Increased employee annual onboarding attendance from an estimate of 1,000 US employees to an estimate of 3,000+ employees globally.

In addition to my experience, I hold a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, a Design Thinking certification, and certification in Instructional Design and Facilitation. I possess excellent project management and team leadership skills, alongside robust cross-functional collaboration, and client facilitation abilities in Fortune 500 environments.

I live in Atlanta, GA with my husband of 23 years. I have three daughters, two in college and one in middle school and I have a dog/son who is seven years old.
